Wellington Lake Spring Festival

When: Sunday, March 16 from 3:00 – 5:00pm

Where: Young Arthur Terrace cul-de-sac

Kids of all ages had a blast at the festival. There was a parade starting at the clubhouse at 3:00 that lead the way to the cul-de-sac to meet the Easter Bunny! An egg hunt, activities and crafts for the kids and some yummy treats and burgers were all part of the fun.

BJ Doherty & Lisa Hallam organized this event, and did a wonderful job. Thank you Lisa & BJ!

Surveillence Protection

As a reminder, we voted to purchase surveillence equipment as a crime deterrent. The equipment was purchased to make criminals think twice. If you have any thoughts, questions or concerns about surveillence, or would like to report a suspicious activity, please contact a board member.
Please be aware of your surroundings. If you notice anything unusual, don't put yourself in any danger, gather detailed information about the situation, contact the police immediately and notify a board member of the incident. The board will share the news with the community.

Report Sidewalk Maintenance Needs ASAP

If you notice any holes or significant cracks in the sidewalk in front of your home, please notify Cristy Walls (cwalls@cma-atlanta.com) by November 2nd to have it assessed for repair.

Adopt A HIghway

Are you tired of litter and illegal signs? Do you wish you could do something about the littering and illegal signage problem around your neighborhood, community or business? Now you CAN do something…you can Adopt-a-Road. The Gwinnett County Department of Transportation and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful sponsor the Adopt-a-Road program, a litter prevention initiative in which citizens reduce the amount of unsightly trash and signage strewn alongside Gwinnett County roadways. Not only are these eyesores unsightly, they also show a decline in neighborhood concern for the area. Unkempt communities are more conducive to crime, decreased economic growth and decline in quality of life.

Wellington Lake and Riverview are partnering on four dates throughout the year to keep our community beautiful. Soon you will reveive an email with specific directions on how you can get involved.

Declaration of Covenants Review- Window Grids, Parking Rules

Wellington Lake takes great pride in keeping the neighborhood homes in tip top shape. Keeping our homes looking great increases the value of the neighborhood! The Design Review Board helps us keep the outside of our homes looking good, by reminding us often to check the covenants to see what must be kept up, and what rules we must follow.
Right now, the DRB wants to remind everyone that it is mandatory to have grids in every window on the front of your house, (unless you have been exempted of this already at one time or another, do to the structure of your home.) Please take a look at your home, then check with the DRB if you have any questions as to whether your window grids need repair/replacing. Parson’s Andrews Lumber, 3625 Peachtree Rd Duluth, GA 30096 (770) 476-5286Fixhome.com is the company to call for window grids. You need Double Hung Grilles Wood Only 7/8" Stock http://www.fixhome.com/page/page/3667728.htm.
Double Hung and Glider window Grille Inserts are custom built to the dimensions you provide and are available in 7/8" wide White Ponderosa Pine stock.

Also, note on page 17 of the covenants, its states that automobiles should not be parked in the street or in the cul de sac, and should be moved every 24 hours if you park in your driveway. Please remember to follow this rule, or you might get a notice from CMA that could result in daily fines.

Lost your copy of the covenants? Go to the "Neighborhood Forms" link to the right of this page, and then click on "Declaration of Covenants."
